Sonia Osman joins Lifeline board of directors

Sonia Osman has joined the board of directors for Lifeline Recovery Center, a residential treatment program for substance abuse.

A graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in business, Sonia obtained her SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation in 2021.

She has spent 17 years in different business sectors, including corporate, manufacturing, construction, hospitality/entertainment (casino), and retail.

Sonia was president, vice president and past president for Four Rivers SHRM chapter in Paducah and the 2020 Lyle Hanna Spirit Award recipient from the Kentucky SHRM Council for advancing the HR profession. She also has served as workforce readiness director on the Kentucky State SHRM council and director on the Leadership Paducah Alumni Association board.

As a trainer across Kentucky, she has worked to increase awareness among business leaders on how to combat substance use and mental health disorders in the workforce.

“The Lifeline board is fortunate to have Sonia’s HR expertise and knowledge of substance abuse in the workplace,” said board chair Steve Powless.
